Joining the SPU Food and Nutrition (FAN) Club is advantageous for many reasons. Students have the opportunity to socialize with other food and nutrition majors, participate in fun and enriching activities, 比如社区服务, and interact with local dietetics professionals.
Leadership opportunities are available each year.

室内设计俱乐部
The Student 室内设计俱乐部 has been busy this year, building community and learning about the design profession. Last fall a bevy of new club members descended on student club president, 贝拉年轻, in her apartment to get to know each other and share some nosh.
The group really got going in January with involvement in the International Interior Design Association’s Product Review and Design Charrette. Students gained valuable skills in a commercial design setting while working with students from other regional programs. That work will be invaluable to their portfolios in June!
网易彩票app还举办了两场活动. One was specifically designed for newcomers to the program and featured upperclassmen presenting the work they submitted for acceptance to the major. Sophomores saw what is expected in applications.
Professor Beth Marie Miller also presented her online portfolio so students could see an alternative to using PowerPoint to lay out designs, 材料, 和概念.
Our last event for Winter Quarter involved a panel of graduates from multiple design specialties. LeAnne阿罗约 has had experience in high-end residential design and hospitality design, and is now a specialist in purchasing at Sechrist Design. 凯蒂Quackenbush shared from her experience with Susan Marinello; Froelich迦勒 kept us laughing as he described his journey into the world of office design; and Jen科瓦尔斯基 wowed everyone with her entrepreneurial spirit. She was working at a plumbing distributor’s showroom, 有个主意, 制定商业计划, and pitched it to a designer who was missing a “Kitchen and Bath” extension of her business. Jen is now a part-owner at Six Walls Design. 最后, Kashley托莱多 let us all know how she traveled from retail, 致灯光设计师, to project manager for the facilities department of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
All emphasized the importance of networking in order to get work, and that’s what this group is about! We’re a community committed to exploring the design world together in order to advance every student’s advancement into the professional realm.

在学生时尚组, 模式, ASSP俱乐部, we use our God-given passion for fashion, and the knowledge we learn in class, to make a difference on SPU’s campus and in the surrounding 西雅图 area.
Join us for a fun mix of group activities and community service projects — and make a fashionable statement at SPU and beyond!

Any SPU student genuinely interested in fashion is welcome to join in. 成员包括:
- Regular attendance and participation in club activities.
- Agreement to abide by the SPU Student Fashion Group constitution (signed form).

Area professionals share their experience in the 西雅图 fashion industry. Previous speakers represented companies such as R.E.I., Sustainable Style Foundation, Showpony Boutique, and Kate Quinn Organics.
Student designer fashion show
Each spring, the 《网易彩票下载》学生时尚组 produces a fashion show featuring student designs. The Fashion Show is entirely student directed and student made, with guidance from ADM Faculty and local professionals. Read about the 2010 Fashion Show“如此新鲜，缝制绿色。.”
